IT’S WORLDE CARNIVAL WEEKEND AT THE PENNSYLVANIA RENAISSANCE FAIRE
August 29 & 30, 2009

WHO:

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire

WHAT:

Travelers from across the globe gather to present Queen Elizabeth with the wondrous sights, smells and sounds from far-away lands as the 29th annual Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire continues.

WHEN:

Saturday and Sunday, August 29 & 30, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.


WHERE :

The Royal grounds of Mount Hope Estate and Winery, Lancaster County, Rt. 72, ½ mile south of PA Turnpike Exit 266

WHY: To bring marvels from across the globe to Her Majesty, knights, ladies, wenches, rogues and visitors alike!


The Faire continues its 12 weekend run complete with 90 stage shows, scores of artisans, 22 Royal
Kitchens, award winning wines sampled daily, widely acclaimed ales and lagers brewed on-site and the
following additional entertainments!

THIS WEEKEND ONLY
The Great Origami Frog Race – All young lords and ladies are invited to create their own paper frog and race it down Guildsmen’s Way. The Four Corners Scavenger Hunt – Young adventurers receive a map so they can search the Shire for clues to the treasure chest. International Dance Competition – Shire Folk will teach couples to dance a worldly jig and those who show themselves to be footloose and fancy free will move on to the final round of competition. The Explorer’s Olympics – Brave the International Obstacle Course to see if you are fit to venture forth in Her Majesty’s name.
BUT THERE’S MORE!
Don Juan & Miguel - This whip-cracking, sword fighting comedic duo have been spreading laughter and hilarity throughout the Renaissance Festival circuit for over 20 years. Fushu Daiko – Masters of taiko drumming, this multi-national group strives to teach their audiences the ways of taiko and Japanese culture. The Tribal Circus – This exciting new-age circus troupe specializes in a variety of skills from aerial acrobatics to
interactive comedy.
NEIGHBOR’S WEEKEND
Queen Elizabeth invites Her neighbors whose zip code begins with “19” to receive a $10 discount to the Faire. This offer is available at the Front Gates and is only available with a valid PA Driver’s License.

Fushu Daiko will bring the heartbeat of Japan to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire's Worlde Carnival Weekend, August 29 and 30, ith their mastery of taiko drumming and their understanding and appreciation in the way of taiko, Japanese culture and all of life.

Children can learn the ancient Japanese art of origami by making paper frogs and thn race them in the Great Origami Frog Race, just one of the many activities mini explorers can participate in during Worlde Carnival Weekend, August 29 and 30, at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in northern Lancaster County.
