Queen Elizabeth Salutes All Heroes of the Realm |
All Modern Heroes Receive Special Discount |
| Brave individuals put themselves into danger in order to protect American citizens and our country on a daily basis, yet rarely receive recognition and gratitude for their sacrifices. In an effort to express our appreciation for all that these everyday heroes do, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is offering 50% discounted admission to the festival during the third weekend in September. All modern day heroes and their immediate family members will receive the $15.00 admission price when they present their valid service identification (i.e. ID cards, badges, etc.). |
| Events tailored to honor those who serve and protect include a special thank you at the Queen’s
Honor Ceremony, as well as the Hero Recognition Contest. For the Contest, family members can
nominate their hero at www.parenfaire.com/heroes.html for a chance to be selected and recognized
by Her Majesty. Three heroes will be selected on Saturday and Sunday, and will have their heroic tale retold. Those selected will receive royal prizes including up to 10 complimentary Faire admission tickets and meal vouchers for the day they will be recognized. Heroes will also receive a personalized certificate of achievement, engraved sword, and more. |
While honoring brave adults, Serve and Protect weekend is also a family friendly affair. Children can learn the basics of chivalrous behavior, and later test their agility in the Obstacle Course of Almost Certain Doom. |
The Serve and Protect Discount is available to all members of the active military, military reservists, retired military, members of veteran organizations, police officers, professional or volunteer fire fighters, EMTs and their families. The discount is available only at the front gate of the festival. |
