Visitors to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire have marveled at the birds of prey soaring over the Shire of Mount Hope and now our Resident Falconer, Ash Cary, will visit your school and introduce this 4000 year old sport.
Birds of Prey School Program:
• Consists of 2 identical half-hour assembly programs
• Can take place ini an auditorium or gymnasium
•The show includes the flying of the birds, behaviors they use in the wild to hunt their prey, history of their use in falconry from the past to the present, as well as their place in the ecosystem. Following the program, there will be time for a question and answer period.
Items Needed for Presentation:
• An area at least 12' x 24' to perch birds between programs
• Access to the performance area the morning of, or the day before, depending on the distance of the location.
• If more than 2 hours are traveled to perform, the school will need to provide a hotel room for overnight stay.
