Catch the Culprit at Mount Hope Mansion’s Interactive
Murder Mystery Dinner

When gangster and molls, flappers and daddies gather at the Speakeasy at Mount Hope, there’s a good chance someone will get bumped off and a fall guy will be framed. Join us in March for Murder at Mount Hope Mansion and an interactive “who-done-it!” Become one of the detectives as you interrogate the suspects, gather the clues, uncover the truth behind this caper and pinch the perp!
The action takes place in the beautiful Mount Hope Mansion on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. The evening begins with appetizers and drinks at the cash bar featuring handcrafted Swashbuckler Ales and award-winning Mount Hope Wines. Guests are encouraged to interact with the mobsters and collect clues to help unveil the killer later in the evening.
Guests will then enjoy a delicious homemade Italian meal hosted by the “Boss” of the local gangster family and mingle with the collection of colorful characters that surround him. Feast upon chicken parmesan, baked pasta primavera and garlic snap peas before concluding with a hearty helping of Zabaglione, a traditional Italian wine custard layered with mixed berries and a crème fraise topping.
The plot thickens after dinner when everyone gathers for an audience with the “Boss” to hear his big announcement. Comedy and mystery ensue as the murder is committed and the audience helps solve the crime!

 

Murder at Mount Hope Mansion, Fridays and Saturdays, March 5 through March 27. Friday performances are at 7 P.M. and Saturday performances are at 1 P.M. and 7 P.M. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Admission is $39.95 per person. Seating is limited and reservations are strongly recommended. Mount Hope Estate, home to the annual Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, is located on Route 72, ½ mile south of PA Turnpike exit 266, 15 miles north of Lancaster and 14 miles east of Hershey.
