Mount Hope Estate & Winery will celebrate its annual Holiday Open House from 11:00 AM to 4:00PM, November 27, 28 and 29. Complimentary admission includes opportunities to sample wine and beer, special discounts on upcoming event tickets, mingling with characters from Holidays at Mount Hope, shopping for Holiday gift items and the chance to experience the Victorian splendor of Mount Hope Mansion decorated in her Holiday finery.
Holiday spirit fills the rooms of Mount Hope Mansion with savings and gift ideas. In the Morning Parlor, guests can purchase discounted tickets to the 2016 Murder at Mount Hope, Brewfest, Celtic Fling and Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at prices only available during the Open House weekend. In the Library, children can create a free Christmas craft. The Dining Room will feature samples of gourmet hot teas, a collection of teas and tea accessories and distinctive jewelry. The Grand Ballroom offers sampling and sales of Mount Hope Wines and Swashbuckler Brewing Company's craft-brewed beers. Inside the Chapel, visitors can play parlor games and sing carols with the cast members of Holidays at Mount Hope. Discounted tickets for this theatrical event are also available during the Open House.
The Merchant Marketplace can be found, free from the outside elements, inside a spacious tent set adjacent to the Mount Hope Wine Shop. Inside, guests are invited to shop with a variety of merchants featuring handcrafted holiday wares and other items perfect for the gift-giving season. Also in the Marketplace, children are invited to whisper their Holiday wishes to Father Christmas and receive a gift from his helpers.
The Anchor and Mermaid Tavern, just steps away from the Mansion, will serve a lunch menu of tempting appetizers, delectable sandwiches, Swashbuckler beers and Mount Hope Wines from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
