First Annual Pirate Fun Run

Ahoy Matey’s! Come join Captain Kidd for a 5K Fun Run Treasure Hunt! Pirates are taking over the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire as we hunt for me Treasure. Move your booty as our themed characters chase you and try and stop you from finding the hidden clues. Follow the map to where the booty is hidden! If you find clues, they can lead you to your chance at winning $1697 in me treasure chest! There is also a bunch of other lost treasure/prizes that you might find too, such as, a bike (valued at $1400), a $50 Amazon Gift Card, a 2020 Renaissance Faire Season Pass, a $25 Sheetz Gift Card, and a $100 Whole Foods Gift Card. 5K is a chipped timing event provided by the US Road Running Services. All are welcome in the Fun Run/Treasure Hunt.

The Pirate 5K & Fun Run/Treasure Hunt benefit the Lebanon Valley Volunteers in Medicine.

Date & Time

The Pirate Fun Run will take place on November 2nd, 2019 on the grounds of Mount Hope Estate, Home of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. All participants that wish to do a "chip-timed 5K run" will start their run at 9:00AM. Fun Run/Treasure Hunt starts at 11:00AM with the Costume Contest kicking off at 10:30AM. PLEASE NOTE: Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the event to ensure you have enough time to register and pick up your materials.


The event is located on the grounds of Mount Hope Estate—The street address is 2775 Lebanon Rd. Manheim, PA 17545. The race weaves through the Pennsylvania Reanissance Faire's village, which is destined to be racers' and spectators' favorite. With ample parking, food and beverages, the unique atmosphere will get every racer will get in the pirate spirit!

Lebanon Valley Volunteers in Medicine

The Volunteers in Medicine Free Health Clinic serves residents age 18-64 of Lebanon County who are uninsured or underinsured. Over 10,000 people in Lebanon County who are completely uninsured and thousands more who are underinsured will be helped by Volunteers in Medicine Free Health Clinic. Based upon the guidance of the Volunteers in Medicine Board and organizing committee the following tenets will be observed in all clinic actions;
• The clinic is based on volunteerism.
• The clinic is a community-wide effort.
• All people involved with the clinic are treated with dignity, respect and appreciation.
• The clinic fills unmet needs without duplication or competition with existing programs.

The event is located on the grounds of Mount Hope Estate, home of the PA Renaissance Faire. The street address is 2775 Lebanon Rd. Manheim, PA 17545. The first race begins at 8AM.
There is plenty of free parking within walking distance of the front gates. Parking attendants will direct you when you arrive on site.
You may bring a stroller. However, keep in mind that there are hills, grass, stones, sand, and possibly muddy areas to run/walk through.
While we love animals, please no animals on the fairegrounds unless it is a service animal.
Children are welcome to attend at the same cost. Please see the Registration Section for additional information.
We value all guests with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals should remain on a leash or harness and under the control of the owner at all times.

For the well being of all our guests, smoking is prohibited under all stages. Your cooperations is appreciated for the comfort of all in attendance.
Outside food and drink items are NOT permitted on the fairegrounds with the exception of water.
Yes, the grounds of Mount Hope Estate are ADA accessible. There is handicapped parking available at the Wine Shop, just ask the parking crew to direct you, then follow the directional signs that lead you to that area when you arrive.
Cars are permitted to stay parked in the lot overnight if the driver has been drinking and has found another way home. Camping is not permitted in the parking lot of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
Items found during or after the event will be kept in the Wine Shop (717-665-7021 ext 129).

Note: Entry fees are non-transferabel. Race bibs are required to participate in the 5K, wristbands are required to participate in the Treasure Hunt.
