FlavorFest Homemade Wine Competition May 27, 2012 A wine making competition for amateur vintners!
Registration Information and Deadlines
Entry Deadline - Saturday, May 19, 2012
Entries will be judged Sunday, May 27 during the Great PA FlavorFest.
Bottle entries can be dropped off in person at the Mount Hope Wine Shop or mailed to the following address by May 19, 2012:

Entry Fee: $5.00 per bottle
Bottle Entry Details
Wines entered for competition must be amateur wines, home produced under regulations of Part 540 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
Entrants must be 21 years of age or older at the time the wine was made to enter this exhibit.
Limit of two entries (two bottles) per class, per winemaker.
Entrants must register their entries by May 19, by completing and mailing the

All pre-registered bottle entries must be received by Saturday, May 19. Entries can either be mailed or dropped off in person to the Mount Hope Wine Shop, 2775 Lebanon Road, Manheim PA 17545. Wine Shop hours are 10AM-5PM, Monday through Saturday, and 11AM-5PM on Sundays.
Labels: All bottles must have a Bottle ID Form attached to the bottle with a rubber band. Do not attach the ID Form with glue or any other adhesive. Bottle ID Forms can be downloaded here. All bottles must be free of wax, decorative labels, capsules and any other markings.
Bottle Size
750ml bottle for each entry. Bottles must be corked or sealed with a screw cap. Bottles will not be returned to the winemakers following the competition.

Judging
Judging will be based on appearance, aroma, body, taste and finish. Each category will be worth 5 points for a total of 25 points maximum for each entry. Judging will take place Sunday, May 27 during the FlavorFest.
