Blackened Corn Salsa with Chef Tristan Turner

Tristan is a young aspiring chef, with dreams of one day opening his own bar in the Lancaster area. He has cooked for the Women’s USA Field Hockey Team at Spooky Nook Sports and at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina. He currently resides in Charleston SC and is employed at the Tattooed Moose, home of the famous Duck Club (as seen on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives.) where he is learning new skills and techniques as he works toward his goal.

With deep roots at the PA Renaissance Faire, Tristan is sponsored today by La Forge and will be demonstrating the Ulu. This native Alaskan tool has a rounded blade that cuts with a rocking motion. He will be making Blackened Corn Salsa for you to enjoy.

My name is Marie Rickards and my company is called Two Sisters Canning. My sister and I started Two Sisters Canning back in July 2013. Our mission was to bring back the good old fashioned Jams and Jellies that our grandmothers used to make. Jams packed with fresh fruit, a bit of sugar and all natural pectin without the artificial flavors, additives or chemicals. Fresh is best but ours is a real close second. Click to Learn More ▾

Making her own creations from potpourri to lip blam, lotions to incredible spice blends, Ruth has a real knack for true organic mixes. Visit Ruth at her herb garden or at our chef demo stage for a real treat.
