Admission to the FlavorFest is completely FREE for all ages. There are no tickets or fees for admission.
Yes. Be prepared for free samples to run out toward the end of the day. Why? The festival requires a certain amount of product from each of the participants to place them on a level playing field. For a variety of reasons, some samples appeal to the sampling appetites of many, and therefore run out faster - so there is a good chance that the wine that "everyone is talking about" will probably run out prior to the end of the day.
As a standard answer no, however some of the vendors on grounds will accept credit cards. The festival does offer multiple ATM machines on premise and one in the Wine Shop. All ATMs will be marked on the map given out day-of.
The wineries are permitted to sample and sell up until the end of the festival (5PM).
The only glass that can be used for sampling is the official FlavorFest tasting glass from the current year. These glasses will be available for purchase as you enter the festival, in the Wine Shop and on the fairegrounds. If you do not have a glass, wineries will provide you with a plastic tasting cup.
No, all wineries will have 1oz. plastic tasting cups to give to patrons sampling their wine. However, purchasing an official FlavorFest tasting glass will help to reduce plastic waste and you'll have a wonderful souvenir from your weekend at Mount Hope!
Sampling is at the discretion of the winery/vendor. Technically sampling is unlimited, unless you are abusing the sampling at a booth. We reserve the right to stop serving anyone who is visibly intoxicated or abusing the free sample policy at any booth.
Animals are not allowed on the festival site except for service animals while performing their qualifying services.
Yes. This festival is family friendly and there is even a special children’s section for kids. Please feel free to bring friends and family of all ages.
No matter what your age, please be prepared to show proper identification in order to sample from the wineries or consume alcohol. Valid ID includes a state issued driver's license or state issued ID card with photo, a passport, or a United States military identification card with photo. We are unable to accept any foreign driver's license. Note that the identification cannot be expired at the time of the festival.
No, the FlavorFest is a rain or shine event.
Please continue to visit this Flavorfest Page as we constantly update the information. You can also call the business offices at 717-665-7021 or fill out the Contact Form below for specific questions.

There are a number of options on the fairegrounds, including PRF owned Royal Kitchens and the Visiting/Permanent Food Merchants. Please note that most food booths do not accept credit cards.
Yes, the FlavorFest is ADA accessible. There is handicapped parking available at the festival, just ask the parking crew to direct you to that area when you arrive. The fairegrounds offer paved paths with specially marked handicap seating areas at the stages.
There is plenty of free parking and attendants will direct you when you arrive at the festival.
Cars are permitted to stay parked in the lot overnight if the driver has been drinking and has found another way home. Camping is not permitted in the parking lot of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
There are multiple restroom locations, both inside and outside the gates. The restrooms will be marked on the festival maps handed out at the gate.
The First Aid station is located near the backside of the festival grounds on Privy Lane. The station will be marked on the festival maps handed out at the gate.
Yes, there are multiple ATMs located throughout the grounds, as well as one located in the Wine Shop. The ATMS will be marked on the festival maps handed out at the gate.
