Colebrook Road - BrewFest 2012 Colebrook Road

Based out of central Pennsylvania playing traditional and cutting edge acoustic bluegrass music, Colebrook Road hit the stage in April of 2009. Since then the band has gained rapid exposure and notoriety for its skillful instrumentation, vocal harmony, and original composition. The unique sound combined with interesting lyrics that relate to local life in central Pennsylvania is what keeps people coming back to see Colebrook Road time and time again. Acoustic music is a unique appeal, but the combination of traditional and contemporary bluegrass sound sets this quartet apart from any other musical act in the area.

Mark DeRose and the Way Home - BrewFest 2012 MiZ

MiZ is a soulful, rock-Americana band from central Pennsylvania whose music is influenced primarily by of Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams and The Cardinals, The Black Crowes, Ray LaMontagne, The Allman Brothers and Tony Rice. The band’s sound is directly impacted by the coal mining region of northeast Pennsylvania and the songs evoke the rustic tones and imagery you would expect from the region and it’s cultural heritage. The singer / songwriter / guitarist Mike Mizwinski gives name to the band and it is his heart and soul– poured into the words and his guitar– that drives it all forward, bouncing between the living memory of his childhood in the middle of nowhere PA and the New York City music scene that has become his second home.

Mark DeRose and the Way Home - BrewFest 2012 They Were Only Satellites

From Lancaster, Pennsylvania, They Were Only Satellites plays roots rock with influences of Wilco, Elvis Costello, ‘60s garage bands, and the Muscle Shoals, Alabama sound. Often compared to Exile On Main Street-era Stones, there is a definite punch-drunk swagger to their music that summons up blues, country and soul. While one moment is like a lonesome cry, the next can be a murderous howl of guitars. Formed in 2008, They Were Only Satellites has been orbiting over the Mid-Atlantic region, waiting for the signal from Ground Control to launch itself into a trajectory that covers the entire planet.

Mark DeRose and the Way Home - BrewFest 2012 Toy Soldiers

Toy Soldiers is a rowdy, hard-working bunch who spent most of 2011 playing 120+ shows across the east coast and southern U.S. tearing through everything from tiny dive bars to festival stages to big theaters with a brand of soulful rock n' roll music that takes it's roots, puts it in a blender and pours out that good old feeling made for today.
