Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any other questions that have not been answered below, please contact our business offices at 717-665-7021, Monday through Friday, 9AM-4PM or fill out the contact form below.

General Information

The event is located on the grounds of Mount Hope Estate, home of the PA Renaissance Faire. The street address is 2775 Lebanon Rd. Manheim, PA 17545.
Tasting beer is the focus of the festival, but there are other activities as well. Alongside the breweries there is an array of vendors selling beer related merchandise and a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy food and brews.
The purpose of our festival is to promote the breweries and showcase some of their flagship or seasonal brews. We cannot possibly have each brewery bring their entire selection. Each brewery that enters the festival is made aware of this policy, and makes a decision about which beers styles they want to promote.
Yes. Be prepared for beers to run out toward the end of the session. Why?

The festival requires a certain amount of beer from each the participants to place them on a level playing field. For a variety of reasons, some beers appeal to the sampling appetities of many, and therefore run out faster—so there is a good chance that the beer "everyone is talking about" will probably run out prior to the end of the session. We recommend you get around to sample from each brewery before hanging out for "seconds" at one brewery.
We are unable to designate which beers each brewery will bring, as this depends on production schedules, brewery preference and other factors beyond our contral. Brewery representatives and pourers will be able to give you information about each brew during the festival.
No. Only designated drinkware can be used for sampling.
Water and soda are available at all PRF owned food booths. Water will also be available at the Hydration Stations located throughout the grounds.
In addition to the non-alcoholic beverages, there will be hard ciders, mead, and possibly hard seltzer.
While sampling is unlimited, we reserve the right to stop serving anyone who is visibly intoxicated.
The BrewFest at Mount Hope offers guests a variety of food options throughout the festival grounds. Enjoy a selection of free options, which you can visit as often as you'd like throughout the session! Learn more in the Menu section.

Please note that there are a few booths with items that have additional costs, which will be clearly marked in the BrewFest program (available closer to the event).
There is a "last call" 15 minutes prior to the end of each session and taps close promptly at the end of each session. For the first session, last call is at 2:45PM and the taps are shut off at 3PM and for the second session, last call is at 8:15PM and the taps are shut off at 8:30PM. That means no more beer is poured after those times. Security will do a sweep after the taps close asking anyone left on grounds to vacate.
We value all guests with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals should remain on a leash or harness and under the control of the owner at all times.

Mount Hope Estate adheres to the ADA's definition of Service animal found here. Please refer to ADA's frequently asked questions as it pertains to Mount Hope Estate events.
No. All attendees must be 21 or older to attend the BrewFest. All attendees will be carded at the gate with no exceptions, and no one under the age of 21 will be admitted. This includes children, toddlers and infants. No refunds will be issued to patrons under the age of 21 attempting to enter the festival.
Please do not. To distribute other materials on site is in violation of our no-soliciting rule. Distributing products (especially those intended as edibles) without a waiver on-site is in violation of state law and contrary to the application process that each member of our Shire Marketplace undergoes to continue to offer quality artisan goods.

Patrons in violation will be asked to leave and escorted from the festival grounds.
The festival accepts credit cards (Visa, Mastercard & Discover) for tickets sales on the Virtual Box Office. Some of the vendors on grounds will accept credit cards where as some only accept cash. The festival does offer multiple ATMs on premise and one in the Wine Shop.
No matter what your age, please be prepared to show proper identification in order to gain access to the festival. Valid ID includes a state issued driver's license or state issued ID card with photo, a passport, or a United States military identification card with photo. We are unable to accept any foreign driver's license. Note that the identification cannot be expired at the time of the festival.
Various hotels in the area are available. Please visit our lodging page for specific information.
No, once you come into the event you cannot leave and re-enter without paying again.
