2016 Swashbuckler 5K
Aaargh! Shake out yer landlubber legs and get out on a cross country course at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fairegrounds on Saturday, November 5, 2016. The race is run in conjunction with the Swashbuckler Cyclocross race, and the courses run over a mixture of grass, pavement, stone, and sand, including the famous jousting arena and the rocks and hills around the human chess board.

Entry Fees: Swashbuckler 5K $25 includes tee-shirt if pre-registered by 10/24. Day of Registration Fee $30. T-shirts available if pre-registered by 10/24. After 10/24, Online registration available until 10/31 without T-shirt.
Registration and number pick up for the 5k be at the Faire’s front gate, with the start line by the Mount Hope Estates wine shop. After traipsing over hill and dale in and out of the Fairegrounds, runners will cross the finish line on a picturesque street just inside the front gates. Grub, grog, and repast will be available at several locations – just look for the special race day signs or simply follow yer nose…
Medals will be awarded to the top 5 overall men; top 5 overall women; top 5 overall 39 and under and top 5 overall 40+. Swashbuckler Brewing be the race sponsor and racing theme, so a buccaneer wardrobe gets you front-of-the-pack positioning to start! After the run is the Pro Men bicycle race on many of the same paths just travelled, so stick around, get yer grub on, and cheer on the wheelmen. At 4 bells (4 o'clock) be the run/ride relay involving liquid and pastry refreshments.
