“Nevermore” has there been a writer better adept at harnessing the bizarre and the disturbing than Edgar Allan Poe. Born 200 years ago in 1809, Poe is recognized today as the father of the detective genre, the pioneer of science fiction and a master of the psychological horror story. Mount Hope Estate & Winery will celebrate the anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s birth with the annual theatrical production, “Poe Evermore,” opening November 3 and running through November 15 within the Victorian halls of historic Mount Hope Mansion in northern Lancaster County.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire hosted the crew of ABC News’ “Good Morning America” on September
26 and 27, to introduce 16th century Elizabethan England to America. GMA has scheduled the three minute segment to air during their Sunday, October 25, broadcast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

All cast members, together with a Renaissance village full of guildsmen and artisans, independent musicians, jousters, fire-eaters, sword-swallowers, and the like, perform for hundreds of thousands of patrons annually.
